Red Fish Circle, what fun you are having with the persimmons! Isn't the orange intense?! I love to see what you are doing with them. Also glad to see that you came through the rough weather you had in your area last week!
Welcome to my blog, I am a surface designer and illustrator. I am inspired by color, texture, and pattern. I love hand made objects, nature walks, flea markets, and laughing out loud.
1. Making a collage lady out of my milk carton and straws during snack time in kindergarten and my teacher posting it on the bulletin board in the hallway. (my first art exhibition). 2. As a teenager, leaving my oil painting out on my bedroom floor to dry and my dog walking across it, leaving blue footprints all over the house. 3. Dyeing fabrics in high school with Mr. Marinaccio. 4. Walking into the Fiberarts Department at Massachusetts College of Art and making the decision to take my art seriously. 5. Selling my first textile design (to Graco) and jumping up and down in my kitchen while talking to my rep on the phone, realizing one could actually make a living as an artist.
Another favorite art moment
Taking this pic with my friend Lorraine of a giant ceramic sandwich that I made.

Thanks! I had a lovely Sunday... I realized after I bought these that I have never eaten a persimmon. I can't wait to try them!
