Every afternoon I have been going for a walk and entering a totally hypnotic state.... the smell of honeysuckle and jasmine, goldfinches and sparrows flitting, neon headed ducks gliding in unison scratching the glass surface of the lake. Dragonflies humming, butterflies floating, wagging tails, friendly waves, and the muffled sound of summer kids splashing and laughing from the city pool. I am a summer girl (well I know it is really still spring, but it heats up so quickly here - it is as good as summer). This is my time, when I feel full bloom, just like the giant leaf magnolias and my hydrangeas.

Yay for summer!
ahh the noises of summer I just love them!!!
oh how i miss the magnolias!!!! and the lush green of your photos. thanks for sharing, Amy. one thing that left a HUGE impression on me the one and only time i ever went to atlanta is the crazy vines that sculpted stories of elephants and tigers frolicking alongside the highways. mmmm. i'll never forget those. what are those anyway?
Oh yeah, that would be kudzu, always in the news. Check out this link:

Art, baskets, recipes... very resourceful! She was written up in National Geographic a couple of years ago.
