Fujiwo Ishimoto is one of my favorite textile designers. I love the simplicity and elegance of his design style. He draws his inspiration from the colors and rythms found in nature. He joined Marimeko in 1974 and has had a long and successful career with them.
A new collection of fabrics are being printed right now and will be available later this fall. I am planning to give away some yardage along with these buttons which feature some of the "stars" of the new line....stay tuned.

School starts before Labor Day here which really throws my "end of summer" clock off. Although it is still muggy and in the eighties, there are signs of the end of summer. The yellow jackets seem increasingly busy and a little frantic anticipating the upcoming chill. I am also starting to spot some shedding leaves. Check these colors out...
