Are you wanting to clear out some space for some new fabrics, or feeling guilty about some fabric you bought that you just know you will never use? Or maybe you are in that giving mood as it is the season to give. I received an email (see below) that may help you out and it would certainly help some kids out.
There is no deadline, you can wait until after the holiday madness has abated.
I have started a team for the Philadelphia LiveSTRONG Challenge where we will be running and riding over 100 miles in two days. It is not only our goal to raise money for cancer research and assistance to current cancer patients, but make an impact on the cancer world. I was 21 years old when I was diagnosed. I just turned 23 and hopefully will end my battle with cancer as a winner. Through all of my doctor’s appointments and tests, I meet many people younger than me with cancer. I want to help them.
I am organizing a quilting lock in to make 250 pillowcases and 250 child size blankets for pediatric cancer patients in the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. I currently have several local stores donating time and space to host these events. I was wondering if you would be willing to donate some fabric to us so we can accomplish our goals. We can accept anything from seconds bolts, fat quarters, scraps, pre cut kits that have not been completed, etc. Please send any and all donations to:

Thanks!

wonderful, wonderful. bravo to her and her spirit. She's bringing back the jewell in the forest like the hero of Joseph Campbell.

Well said Katherine, it is a hero's journey for sure.
Do you know how long they are accepting fabric? It's a month after the initial posting and I was wanting to check before sending anything. Thanks!
