Portfolio Reviews and Mentoring

I get contacted frequently and have consulted with many creative people getting started in illustration and pattern design.  I decided to begin offering illustration and design portfolio reviews, consultation, and mentoring. I will do a free interview up front to see if what I have to offer is a good fit for you and to find out what your goals are. I have also learned that everyone's situation is so different, my aim is to individualize what I have to offer.

If you decide to move forward, I will then focus on the following issues in my consultation sessions:  portfolio reviews and discussion on how to best present your work, how to contact potential clients, the ups and downs of the business side of things, and how to negotiate selling and licensing your work.

Every working illustrator and designer that I have met does things a little differently - I would share how I have navigated this business and how I continue to try to keep up with changes in the industry. There is no magic bullet, particularly during a tough economy, but if you believe in yourself and are persistent, positive, and productive (my three p's),  then anything is possible.
