Fancy Pants

Finally got to do a little sewing this past weekend. I have piles of fabric from Robert Kaufman and some prints I did on Spoonflower that have been very patient waiting for me to turn them into something more than waiting yardage.

I sewed me up some fancy pants using two prints that I have for sale on Spoonflower. Take a gander.
(in case it isn't obvious from the photos, they are a girl's toddler size)

What I Have Been Working On....

I just pulled together my first full length children's book written by my hubby and me. Just sent the dummy off to my agent. It was a huge undertaking and I am so proud of myself for jumping this big hurdle - my fingers are crossed that it may spark some interest but if not I am already planning my next project. I took on a story about children, illustrating lots of people which was really exciting and a fun break from the animal world. Here is my main character, Simon, getting ready for bed with his space monkey toy. Lots of adventure ensues....

Working hard sending new patterns off to NYC for Surtex. I won't be there in person this year, but my work will be with my rep.

Also have been preparing some of my new work for Oopsy Daisy - have a couple of new pieces up and six more images to come soon including my new Butterfly Pavillion collage.
